Hangzhou Open-Source Artificial Intelligence Foundation
The Hangzhou Open-Source Artificial Intelligence Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation") upholds the core principles of open collaboration, community-driven development, and neutral governance, and is committed to building a sustainable, globally influential open-source ecosystem for artificial intelligence. With a developer-first philosophy, the Foundation focuses on critical domains including open-source foundation models, high-quality open datasets, development toolchains, and AI-native software and hardware infrastructure. It provides full-lifecycle support for open-source projects — from sandbox exploration and incubation to graduation — encompassing professional services such as grant funding, neutral intellectual property (IP) hosting, open-source license compliance review, and Technical Oversight Committee (TOC) governance, thereby accelerating project maturation and industrial adoption. The Foundation establishes an international open-source collaboration platform, initiating and participating in global technical symposiums and open-source summits. It promotes upstream contributions and cross-border collaboration between domestic and international communities while advancing the development of open standards and interoperability. Furthermore, the Foundation synergizes with universities, research institutes, leading technology enterprises, open-source communities, and industrial incubators to integrate the value chain of industry, academia, research, application, and entrepreneurship. This accelerates the scalable deployment of open-source AI technologies in real-economy scenarios, empowering frontier AI technologies to achieve global, inclusive sharing through the open-source model. As the organizer of the World Artificial Intelligence Open-Source Competition, the Foundation leverages the event as a global innovation nexus. Through formats such as hackathons and open-source challenges, it convenes the collective intelligence of developers worldwide to discover high-quality open-source projects and core contributors that demonstrate both technical originality and industrial viability, continuously injecting innovative momentum into the long-term, sustainable development of the global AI open-source ecosystem.

Individual developers, open-source teams, university students, research teams, enterprise AI teams, AI startups and developer communities worldwide are all welcome.
